Reboot of Soul Hunter Anime Coming this January 2018!

Soul Hunter is back in action with its new anime revamp, scheduled for January 2018!

Ryu Fujisaki’s Chinese mythology-inspired Hoshin Engi aka Soul Hunter was serialized from 1996-2000 in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump manga magazine, and an English language version is also released by Viz Media, completed with 23 Volumes. An earlier TV anime adaptation aired in 1999 called Senkai-den Houshin Engi, and is currently released on North American home video as Soul Hunter by Discotek.

Set in legendary China, Soul Hunter follows the immortal-in-training, Taikobo who is chosen by the great immortal sages to seal an extremely evil yet extremely beautiful fox spirit Dakki as she controls the emperor of the In dynasty, causing evil across the human nation.  He is extremely lazy and doesn’t like to face troublesome things; however, threatened with expulsion from the heavens, he quickly leaves. Along Taikobo’s journey to the capital, Taikobo gathers other powerful companions and sets out to seal away the demons and eventually destroy the fox-spirit Dakki.

This time the new anime will be following the manga!
