‘Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure : Golden Wind’ Anime Will Finally Be Released This Year

On Thursday, manga author Hirohiko Araki revealed at a recent Jojo art exhibition / press conference that Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure (Part 5) Golden Wind / Vento Aureo will be getting a TV anime series adaptation this July. The first episode will be screened at Anyerri Hall in Tokyo and at Anime Expo Paris on July 5th. The show will air on TV in Autumn.

Golden Wind is set in Italy and follows the new protagonist Giorno Giovanna as he tries to rise up through the Passione mafia and reform the organisation. The original manga ran from November 1995 – April 1999 in Weekly Shonen Jump, and has not yet been translated into English.

David Production will be continuing to adapt the series, following their work on Phantom Blood (2012,) Battle Tendency (2012,) Stardust Crusaders (2014) and Diamond is Unbreakable (2016.)
