Rin Okumura’s Super Yellow Special Recipe

During Blue Exorcist we get to see Rin’s dish that he had made and looks somewhat satisfying to eat. Below is the ingredients to make this tasty dish and even give it a try. Good Luck, my friends!

3 eggs (per omelet)

butter to cover pan for eggs

lots of practice (that’s right it’s going in as an ingredient because it’s needed!)

2 cups cold rice (make sure it’s sticky rice or short grain rice)

2 squid

¼ lb of pork

one bag of frozen birds eye mixed vegetables (because it’s way easier)

oil to cover pan

3 tablespoons of soy sauce (add more to taste)

1 box of veal or beef stock (whichever you can find i know veal can be harder to find)

½ onion

2 carrots

2 celery

cheese cloth tied with 1-2 bay leaf, ½ tablespoon dry thyme. ½ tablespoon dry parsley.

¼ cup of tomato paste

¼ of butter for demi glace

2 tablespoons of flour

First diced the onion carrots and celery up.


Heat butter on medium in the pot and add the cut up vegetables. Cook until they are soft or brown.


when the vegetables are ready add a pinch of flour and be sure you don’t burn the flour; which it should start to smell like soup.


Add the stock and the tomato paste. Lower the heat to low and simmer until the stock has reduced by 1/3. Make sure you stir every so often so nothing burns.


Heat up the oil in the pan and add vegetable mix. Cook for about 5-10 minutes.


Cut up the pork. Add the pork and cook for about 5-10 minutes to make sure the pork is fully cooked.



Add the soy sauce and rice make sure to mix.


Put your fried rice into a bowl and flip it onto a plate so that it is in the center.


Now for the egg…

Add butter or oil to the pan heats it up and then adds the beaten egg.


After finishing your egg lay it on top of the rice.


Once you have the egg on top add the sauce and you’re done!
